Pinto & Kaimanawa Classes Cancelled
by Paparoa Show on 02/01/13
It is with great disappointment that we advise the cancellation of the Kaimanawa & Pinto classes on Sunday, due a lack of entries.
Those who were entered have been advised & we thank the Kaimanawa competitor who requested that her entry fees be donated to Kaimanawa Heritage Horses instead. Very generous!
We will still try again next year & hope to gain enough support to go ahead then. Thank you to the entrants for your understanding & apologies for the short notice.

Phew! And that's not all of our exhibitors! If you'd like to bring your business to Paparoa Show, you'd better get on the phone to Carl pronto! http://paparoashow.homestead.com/Committee.html
We'd also like to thank Matackana Equestrian Boutique for sponsoring an equestrian class with a gift voucher. That'll be a nice surprise for one of our riders!
If you have an interest in dairy goats, Paparoa Show is THE place to be! Check out the Dairy Goat Pavilion as you come in the gate, the stalls will be fit to bursting with gorgeous goats, strutting their stuff!
Right next to the goats, you'll find the lusciously lashed Alpacas. These South American characters are definitely worth a look!
Has Kaipara got talent? Well we want to see you in our Talent Quest! Register over at the stage (truck) before 1pm when the first act kicks off. Give it all you've got & good luck!
Check out the rest of the talent & see if you get lucky with the prize giving for the Hall exhibits & the raffle draw at 3pm in the Hall. Oh, & listen out for the Best Trade Site winner as you tuck into some lunch around 12pm.
We have some amazing Obedience Dogs coming especially to entertain you but PLEASE DON'T BRING YOUR OWN DOGS! Sorry to shout but we don't like to have to turn people away at the gate, it's awkward! We hate it even more if we have to disqualify a competitor. Just enjoy those obedience dogs & see if you can pick up a few tips to take home.
We have something for the petrol heads too; hot rods for blokes & vintage cars for gentlemen. (Kidding! Before one of you take offence & run me over!) Did I mention farm machinery...? Oh & the wood choppers are back this year! They're always great to watch!
Team Roping will be exciting & delighting the crowd as usual with their cowboy skills & horsemanship. Take your camera on over to the arena for some good action shots!
It's getting EXCITING!!!! :-D
Riotous Fun!
by Paparoa Show on 01/29/13
It's confirmed! We're in for a treat on show day with Kieran Foster & Adrian Hooke compering the show. Adrian Hooke is a professional actor / script-writer who has performed internationally & Kieran Foster is a freelance actor, dj & singer who has performed onscreen & in many theatre productions.
Keep an eye out for these two buzzing around the grounds on a quad bike as roving reporters. They'll be chatting to trade stand holders about their wares, alerting you to upcoming events & may even want a word or two from you about your show experience. So don't be shy! Go say hi! We hope you enjoy their entertaining commentary throughout the day.

IMPORTANT AMENDMENTS TO THE SHOW SCHEDULE!
by Paparoa Show on 01/15/13
STOP PRESS! We've had a last minute addition of Welsh Pony & Cob classes to the Sunday schedule. These will be held directly after the Golden Horse classes & prior to Led Horse/Pony classes to give competitors the opportunity to compete in all three sections, should they wish to do so.
The Dairy Goat schedule & Cattle/Pet Lamb entry form are now available on the 'Schedules' page also.
